Import Survey Files

Import one or more survey files.

Activity Steps

  1. On the Survey Tab, in the Import group, click Import CSV, or enter the command SRVImp_Batch. The Import Jobs dialog displays and enables you to import survey files with a coding sequence that has been predefined. The survey codes define which layers the data is be plotted on.

  2. Begin by clicking Select Files. This opens the Select job files to import dialogue.

    1. Choose the appropriate file format to display your data.

    2. Select one or more survey files.

    3. Click Open.

  3. Notice that the top information window are the individual survey files. By selecting each individual line, the bottom information window contains all points within that file.

  4. Choose the Mine Name where this data was captured. You can filter the levels by mine name. This is to create a Job in the survey database.

  5. Choose the appropriate Level for each survey file.

  6. Ensure the Survey Date is correct, modify if needed.

  7. The Crew reflects the signed-in user importing the survey files.

  8. Choose the Job Type for the survey files.

  9. Choose the Mine Name for each survey file.

  10. Select each Job No. in the top information window, and ensure the Point Type correctly reflects the ImpCode (Import Code). This places each point and string on the correct layer.

  11. Choose to Verify your Data. This analyzes through all the points in the dialogue and search for any duplicate or out-of-bound points.

  12. Choose whether to immediately Insert to Drawing the data provided.

  13. Select Import to create a survey job, and if selected, insert the data into the drawing.

  14. Select Cancel to exit the dialogue.

  15. If a job already exists with the existing name, a prompt appears detailing which jobs are conflicting.

    1. Clicking Yes adds a numerical sequence beside the job. This does not delete the current or previous job.

    2. Clicking No allows you to review your job and data.

    3. Clicking Cancel aborts the entire process.

  16. Insert the Survey Date for each face.
