Plot a Point
Plotting a point displays a point on the 3D viewer with the appropriate coordinates in the X, Y and Z format. You can insert a point by choosing a station point (peg) from the database, or manually enter the coordinates and information.
Activity Steps
- To plot a point, on the Survey Tab, in the Data group, click Plot Data.
- To select a point from the database, click Insert a Station from the DB (Database). This opens the Survey Import - Insert Station dialog. When a station is selected, it automatically populates the information required in Step 3. To filter through the station points:
- Select the Mine Name.
- Select the Level.
- Select whether to Filter Level by Mine Name. If checked, only the levels pertaining to the selected Mine Name displays.
- You can enter a Station Name Filter, then select Get Station to filter out a specific station.
- You can Select All stations.
- You can Clear All Selection if you chose more than one station.
- When a station has been selected, you can Import.
- To exit the dialog, click Close.
- To manually enter a point, in the Survey Import - Insert Point dialog box, the following information is required:
- Select the Mine Name.
- Select the Level.
- Select whether to Filter Level by Mine Name. If checked, only the levels pertaining to the selected Mine Name displays.
- Select the Survey Date.
- Enter the Point Name.
- Enter the Point (X) value.
- Enter the Point (Y) value.
- Enter the Point Elev (Z) value.
- Enter the Floor Elev value.
Select the Point Type.
A Point Type can be in one of the following formats: Station, Line plug, Tope (Wall), Floor or Back.
- Click Insert to plot the point on the 3D viewer.
- If successful, an Import completed message appears at the bottom of the dialog.
- To exit, click Cancel.
