Load a Series for Modifications

Loading a series to make changes at both the sample batch and client job level differs slightly from loading a series for analysis processing. Fields that are normally loaded by default are modified to ensure the series contains only the necessary fields to make changes. After making the changes, the series is saved again to reflect the updates.

Changes could include adding an additional sample, which is completed on the Sample Batches page. For client jobs, changes might involve modifying the number of replicates, adding additional schemes, or creating a new client job.

Activity Steps

1. On the Job Book, click Sample Batches.

2. Click New.

   The Add Sample Batches screen displays.

3. Click Load » Series.

   The Sample Series screen displays.

4. Select Series.

   The samples in the series display in the Selected Samples list.

   Important: Select every sample in the series, including samples currently in the Available Sample list. The series is saved with the samples that are loaded in the Select Sample list; any other samples are lost.

   1. To filter the series select the associated client and/or project:
      • Client
      • Project

   2. To select all samples that are on hold:

      Note: Hold Samples are samples in the Available Sample list.

      1. Click the icon that has a right arrow with a blue line to bring all samples to the Selected Samples list.
      2. Set the following fields in the Analysis Option field group.
         • Set options manually
         • Save as Default
         • Save Hold Status
         • Ignore Sample Fields—Sample ID modifiers are not loaded with the series
      3. Uncheck the following fields in the Analysis Option field group:
         • Increment Fields
         • Create Files
      4. Click OK twice.
