Add Instrument Types

Instrument types categorize the various instruments used in an analytical laboratory, grouping them by functionality and application. For example, multiple instruments may fall under a single type, such as different models of Atomic Absorption Spectrometers (AAS) or micro-balances. Defining an instrument type is the initial step in configuring a new instrument in the AssayNet LIMS.

Activity Steps

1. On the Laboratory ribbon tab, click Instrument Types.

   The Instrument Type screen displays.

2. Click New.

   The Add Instrument Type screen displays.

3. Enter the Instrument Type.

4. Click OK.
