Add a Control Sample Type

In the AssayNet LIMS, a control sample is used to categorize materials specifically for the maintenance or control of instruments, such as for an AA (Atomic Absorption) standard. Classifying an instrument sample control with a sample control type allows you to organize and manage instrument sample control more efficiently. The sample type can be used as a filter to quickly locate and select the appropriate control sample standard; for example, when setting up an instrument calibration template.

Activity Steps

1. In the QC/QA ribbon tab, click Control Sample Types.

   The Control Sample Types screen displays.

2. Click New.

   The Add Control Sample Type screen displays.

3. Enter a Control Sample Type.

4. Click OK.
