Collect Samples

After you have loaded a submittal into the Sample Track app, you can collect samples.

Activity Steps

1. On the main screen, click the submittal.

   The Submittal Samples list displays for the submittal.

2. Attach a barcode tag to the sample.
3. Press the Scan button on either side of the device to scan the sample barcode.

   The sample is updated if it already exists, or a new sample is added to the submittal.

4. To add a sample that cannot be scanned:

   1. Tap Add.
   2. Tap Enter Code.

      The Enter Code dialog displays.

   3. Enter the Barcode or Sample ID.
   4. Tap OK.

      The sample is added to the submittal, or updated if it already exists.

5. To add a Custom Field to a sample:
   1. Tap the sample in the Submittal Samples list.

      The Sample Details screen displays.

   2. Swipe to the Fields tab.
   3. Tap Add.

      The Set Field Value dialog displays.

   4. Select the Field from the list of custom fields.
   5. Enter the Value for the field.
   6. Press OK.

      The field is added to the sample.

6. To add an NCS Code to a sample:
   1. Tap the sample in the Submittal Samples list.

      The Sample Details screen displays.

   2. Swipe to the NCS tab.
   3. Tap Add.

      The Add NCS dialog displays.

   4. Select the Code from the list of NCS codes.
   5. Press OK.

      The code is added to the sample.
