Append batch QC using template sample scheme QC masks

  1. Configure QC types to pre-define the possible primary and secondary QC types for QC samples.
  2. Configure standards to pre-define the possible standards for QC mask blank, standard and spike placements, and ultimately for blank, standard and spike QC samples.
  3. Maintain standard lots for a standard to pre-define the possible standard lots for blank, standard and spike QC samples.
  4. Configure standard groups to pre-define the standard groups for QC mask blank, if appended blank, standard or spike QC samples have their standard assigned from a standard group.
  5. Configure QC masks to configure the QC mask placements for the QC mask.
  6. Create a Template Job, adjust its sample schemes' QC mask, and use the template job to create a production job.
  7. Maintaining Sample Tests to update the QC mask and whether a sample scheme is included in job QC, if required.
  8. Create a laboratory batch job, ensuring to select the Sample Scheme QC Mode as Scheme QC.

When the laboratory batch sample schemes are created and template QC is selected for the sample scheme QC mode, then the laboratory batch sample scheme's QC mask defaults from the batch template sample schemes. Then the same process, of appending QC samples to a production job using QC masks, is applied to the laboratory batch job.

Refer to the default settings for duplicate and replicate QC samples, default settings for spike QC samples and default settings for blank and standard QC samples.
