The changes made during the workbook session are saved and the sheet is closed.
- Given the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is Released, and either no validation results user group is defined, or the user is a member of that group, and the sample scheme analyte's Composite QC Status is not one of the failure statuses, as per the restrictions outlined above, then the sample scheme analyte is validated.
- When a sample scheme analyte is validated, the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is set to Completed if it is not already Listed Not Received, Insufficient Sample, Not Analysed or No Result (in which case, it is left as that), its Validated Date is stamped and Validated By is set to the current user.
- When a sample scheme analyte's Composite Specification Status, Composite QC Status or Workflow Status is updated, the cascade engine re-evaluates these statuses up the respective production and/or laboratory batch job trees. Refer to Appendix—Cascade Engine.
