Set the JOB_NAME_ONLY_FROM_SYNTAX Preference
Use this activity to set the JOB_NAME_ONLY_FROM_SYNTAX application preference to either force job names to only be created from syntax, or to allow actual job names to be entered during job creation.
The Scope for this preference is usually set at laboratory level.
Activity Steps
- Access the CCPREF—Preference application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPREF—Search Preference screen.
- Enter the Preference Name—JOB_NAME_ONLY_FROM_SYNTAX
- Click Submit.
- Open the preference with the lowest level of scope to display the CCPREF—Preference Detail screen.
- If Is System is checked, then:
- Uncheck Is System.
- Click Submit.
- Ensure that Setting Type is set to BOOLEAN.
- To force the selection of a syntax to generate a job name during job creation in the CCREGN—Job application, check Setting Value.
- To allow a syntax to generate a job name to be selected, or to allow an actual job name to be entered, during job creation in the CCREGN—Job application, uncheck Setting Value.
- Set the Preference Type to PREFERENCE.
- Ensure Is Active is checked.
- Click Submit.
- If Is System was initially checked, then:
- Check Is System.
- Click Submit.
