Set the JOB_REG_SAMPLE_LIST_BIOFIELDS Preference

Use this activity to set the JOB_REG_SAMPLE_LIST_BIOFIELDS application preference to specify which sample-scope biofields are displayed on the Samples tab for a job in the CCREGN—Job application.

In the following example, the biofields and their relative column widths are set up for samples in a job:

The sample-scope biofield list includes a column (with a header) for each specified biofield, and a column width. The sample-scope biofields are displayed after the existing standard and custom attribute columns (as determined by personalisation).

The Scope for this preference is usually set at instance, organisation or laboratory level.

Activity Steps

  1. Access the CCPREF—Preference application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPREF—Search Preference screen.
  2. Enter the Preference Name—JOB_REG_SAMPLE_LIST_BIOFIELDS
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Open the preference with the lowest level of scope to display the CCPREF—Preference Detail screen.
  5. If Is System is checked, then:
    1. Uncheck Is System.
    2. Click Submit.
  6. Ensure that Setting Type is set to STRING.
  7. Enter the default sample biofields, Setting Value—HazStatus:5, TrayNo:5, ContainerType:15
  8. Set the Preference Type to PREFERENCE.
  9. Ensure Is Active is checked.
  10. Click Submit.
  11. If Is System was initially checked, then:
    1. Check Is System.
    2. Click Submit.
