A scheme group is a collection of schemes.

A scheme group is created for using in search criteria when searching for samples and jobs.

Scheme Group Scope

Scheme groups are created either with org-scope or lab-scope. An organisation or laboratory can contain multiple scheme groups.

Use of Scheme Groups

Scheme groups allow for the grouping of schemes based on some similarity, or for ease of searching for entities. Grouping schemes facilitates reporting efficiency by allowing a search on multiple schemes for job status, schemes within jobs processed, and so on, and for the querying of entities based upon all schemes within a scheme group.

Creation and Maintenance of Scheme Groups

Scheme groups are created using the CCSCGP—Scheme Group application, which is also accessed using the Analysis Setup » Scheme Groups menu option.

There are no restrictions on the scheme types that can be grouped.
