Set an Alias for a Personalised or Customised Screen

Use this activity to set an alias for a custom screen definition. This provides the following benefits:

• A meaningful name—This records the reason why the screen was personalised or customised.
• Uniqueness—The screen is identified easily.

Notes:

• This activity can only be carried out by the system administrator or an employee who is given security access to manage personalisations.

• When personalising a search or detail screen, ensure the screens have the same Custom Name.

Activity Steps

1. Access the custom CCCSD—Personalisation application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCCSD—Search Personalisation screen.
2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.
3. Custom screen definitions that match the criteria display in the grid.
4. Select the required check boxes next to the application names.
5. Click Set Alias.

   The Set Alias dialog box displays.

6. Enter the Alias.
7. Click OK.

   The name for the custom screen definition is saved.
