Update properties for a field item

1. Access the application to be personalised.
2. From the application to be personalised, click Personalisation access in the Application Toolbar and select Open Personalisation to display the Screen Personalisation tool on the right of the screen and the customisation on the left of the screen.

3. In the Screen Layout panel, click the arrow beside definition to expand and display the form items and components.

4. Continue to expand until the required item or component displays.

5. Select the required field item to display the field's properties in the Properties panel.
6. Update properties as required, for example:
   1. To re-label the field in an application, enter the new name for the component in Label.
   2. Select Mandatory to mark the field as mandatory.
   3. Select Hidden to hide the field.
   4. To add an initial value for the field, enter a value in the Initial Value field.

      This value displays as the default value when the application is accessed.

      Note: A default from a service call overrides the personalised initial value.

   5. Select Disable on Create to disable the field on a create screen.
   6. Select Disable on Update to disable the field on an update screen.
7. Click Submit to save the personalisation.
