Conditions for Allowing Standards as Spikes
When a spike QC mask placement is linked to a standard, if the ALLOW_STANDARDS_AS_SPIKES application preference is:
- Defined and checked, then the linked standard must be not expired and have a Standard Type of Spike or Standard
- Not defined, or is defined and cleared, then the linked standard must be not expired and have a Standard Type of Spike only.
When a spike QC mask placement is linked to a standard group, if the ALLOW_STANDARDS_AS_SPIKES application preference is:
- Defined and checked, then the standard group must have a Standard Type of Spike or Standard
- Not defined, or is defined and cleared, then the standard group must have a Standard Type of Spike only.
When a spike QC sample is linked to a standard, if the ALLOW_STANDARDS_AS_SPIKES application preference is:
- Defined and checked, then the linked standard must be not expired and have a Standard Type of Spike or Standard;
- Not defined, or is defined and cleared, then the linked standard must be not expired and have a Standard Type of Spike only.
When a spike QC sample is recorded to QC history, if the ALLOW_STANDARDS_AS_SPIKES application preference is:
- Defined and checked, then the QC history record is given an Analytical Type of Standard.
- Not defined, or is defined and cleared, then the QC history record is given an Analytical Type of Spike only.
