Conditions for Defaulting an Instrument for a Sample Scheme

A sample scheme's Instrument Code defaults to the first active instrument in the instrument group denoted by the master scheme's Instrument Group Code. If no instrument group is present on the master scheme, the instrument group is not active, or no active instrument exists in the instrument group, then the sample scheme's Instrument Code is left empty.
