Composite QC Cascade from SS to Sample
A sample's Composite QC Status is evaluated from each underlying sample scheme's Composite QC Status as follows.

Workflow Cascade when Auto Completion and/or Auto Validation is Active for Jobs
Non-laboratory-batch Samples
Given that a non-laboratory-batch sample is having its Workflow Status re-evaluated by the cascade engine, and all sample schemes associated with the sample have a Workflow Status of Completed, Listed Not Received, Insufficient Sample, Not Analysed or No Result, and the sample's Workflow Status is not already Completed, then the following logic is used to determine whether the production sample is completed or validated automatically using the AUTO_COMPLETE_SAMPLES and AUTO_VALIDATE_SAMPLES application preferences.

If the sample's Workflow Status is not already Completed, Listed Not Received, Insufficient Sample, Not Analysed or No Result, the sample's Workflow Status is set to Completed. The sample's Completed Date is stamped. The sample's Completed By User is set to the current User. The sample's Validated Date is stamped. The sample's Validated By User is set to the current user. |
If the sample's Workflow Status is not already Completed, Listed Not Received, Insufficient Sample, Not Analysed or No Result, the sample's Workflow Status is set to Completed.
