Fields
-
Batch Name Syntax Code
The code of the syntax used to generate the laboratory batch job's Job Name. A syntax may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active syntaxes in scope with a Syntax Type of Batch Name, as configured in the CCSNTX—Syntax application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCSNTX—Search Syntax screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the value.
Where the generated laboratory batch job's Job Name is not unique within scope, then an error is raised.
Where the entered or generated laboratory batch job's Job Name does not satisfy name validation, that is, if the code contains non-printable characters, then an error is raised.
-
Batch Job Template Name
The name of the job to be used as a template for the creation of the batch. A job may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active jobs in scope with a Job Type of Template, as configured in the CCREGN—Job application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCREGN—Search Job screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the value.

Sample Scheme QC Mode
The mode of adding QC samples to the batch:
-
No QC—No QC samples are added to the laboratory batch job. If any replicate, blank, standard or spike QC samples are selected as source samples, they are passed into the laboratory batch job along with any selected unknown and duplicate QC samples.
-
Scheme QC—QC samples based on the selected sample schemes are added to the laboratory batch job. If any replicate, blank, standard or spike QC samples are selected as source samples, they are passed into the laboratory batch job along with any selected unknown and duplicate QC samples, AND NO FURTHER QC SAMPLES ARE ADDED USING SCHEME QC, that is, it is treated as the No QC option. Otherwise, the QC masks set on the source sample schemes are used to add QC samples to the selected samples and placed into the laboratory batch job.
-
Template QC—Only QC samples based on the same scheme as in the first sample of the job template are added to the laboratory batch job. If any replicate, blank, standard or spike QC samples are selected as source samples then they are passed into the laboratory batch job along with any selected unknown and duplicate QC samples, AND NO FURTHER QC SAMPLES ARE ADDED USING TEMPLATE QC, that is, it is treated as the No QC option. Otherwise, the QC masks set on the first sample within the selected Batch Job Template, for the relative scheme, are used to add QC samples to the selected samples and placed into the laboratory batch job. This means that if a Batch Job Template is chosen where the relative scheme does not exist, then no QC samples are added for that scheme.
When an org-scope scheme is enabled for laboratory use, the enabled-scope scheme version record that is created inherits its QC Mask Code from the org-scope scheme version. The enabled-scope scheme version's QC Mask Code can be changed by personalising the CCSCHM—Scheme Detail screen.
During registration, when:
-
An org-scope scheme is added to a sample in an org-scope template job, then the sample scheme's QC Mask Code is inherited from the org-scope scheme version.
-
An enabled-scope scheme is added to a sample in a lab-scope job (template or non-template), then the sample scheme's QC Mask Code is inherited from the enabled-scope scheme version.
-
A lab-scope scheme is added to a sample in a lab-scope job (template or non-template), then the sample scheme's QC Mask Code is inherited from the lab-scope scheme version.
