Maintain application defaults

To save application defaults:

  1. Access the required application.
  2. Enter default data in the required fields.
  3. Click Personalisation access and select Defaults » Save from the accessed application.
  4. Select the scope of the default—Save for User, Save for Role, Save for Laboratory or Save for System.

When saving defaults for roles/scopes, a dialog appears to allow the role/scope to be selected. The dialog box includes a multi-select drop-down to allow for multiple roles/scopes to be saved in one hit.

Note: When the user has permission to only save defaults against the user level, then the default menu no longer shows the cascading menu, but only shows the save for user option.

To apply application defaults:

  1. Access the required application.
  2. Click Personalisation access and select Defaults » Apply from the accessed application.

By applying defaults, the saved defaults are restored. This is useful if you change your mind after editing fields.

When applying defaults for roles/scopes, a dialog appears to allow the role/scope to be selected (only one role/scope can be selected as only one set of defaults can be applied onto the screen at any one time).

Note: When the user has permission to only apply defaults against the user level, the default menu no longer shows the cascading menu, but only shows the apply for user option.

To clear application defaults:

  1. In the accessed application screen, click Personalisation access and select Defaults » Clear from the accessed application.

To delete application defaults:

  1. Access the required application or program.

The default values display in the application/program.

  2. Click Personalisation access and select Defaults » Delete from the accessed application.

When deleting defaults for roles/scopes, a dialog appears to allow the role/scope to be selected. The dialog box includes a multi-select drop-down to allow for multiple roles/scopes to be saved/deleted in one hit.

Note: When the user has permission to only delete defaults against the user level, then the default menu no longer shows the cascading menu but only shows the delete for user option.
