Enter or clear formulas in workbook cells

  1. Open a workbook session in normal mode to display the CCWKOP—Workbook Open Detail screen or in transposed mode to display the CCWKOP—Workbook Open Transposed Detail screen.

To enter a formula in a workbook cell:

  1. Select one or more workbook cells.
  2. Place focus in the Workbook Cell Content Bar.
  3. Enter the formula (for example "= 3 + 9").
  4. Press the Enter key.

After all the necessary evaluations and scripts are performed, the cursor is moved to focus on the next cell (the next row).

All selected workbook cells that are not locked are updated with the formula, and may be locked, depending upon the AUTO_LOCK_FORMULAS application preference.

#N/A is displayed in any workbook cell if it contains a formula that cannot be resolved. The calculated result is displayed in any workbook cell if it contains a formula that can be resolved.

If a formula is entered into a workbook cell and the formula introduces dependencies to other analytes, and all those sample scheme analyte dependencies have a final result, which thereby triggers the calculation of the final value, then other workbook cells can be changed.

Refer to Appendix—Workbook Formulas and Function.

To clear a formula in a workbook cell:

  1. Select one or more workbook cells.
  2. Place focus in the Workbook Cell Content Bar.
  3. Clear the formula.

All selected workbook cells that are not locked have the formula cleared, and maybe now unlocked, depending upon the AUTO_LOCK_FORMULAS application preference and any locking based upon sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status.
