QC Status Codes for Precision Assessment
The precision status arising from precision assessment for the result of a duplicate or replicate QC sample scheme analyte (SSA) analysis may be one of:
- Not Tested—Indicates that the sample scheme analyte is not assessed due to it or its paired sample scheme analyte having no result as yet.
- Not Required—Indicates that assessment was not required for the sample scheme analyte. This may be due to the QC not being active for the scheme version analyte, or it was not the correct analytical type of sample. Sample scheme analytes where the scheme version analyte is inactive for QC assessment, or flagged not have their assessments recorded in QC history, are not recorded in QC history and therefore not available for QC history reporting.
- Pass—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte are within acceptable precision limits (an allowable percentage difference).
- Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte are outside warning limits.
- Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte are outside failure limits.
- Ignore Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte are outside failure limits, and that failure was subsequently ignored by the operator.
The following statuses can only be set by a custom precision assessment script, but are usually not set as they have no real meaning for precision assessment:
- Ignore Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte are outside warning limits, and that warning was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Lower Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a lower warning.
- Ignore Lower Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a lower warning, and that lower warning was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Upper Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as an upper warning.
- Ignore Upper Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as an upper warning, and that upper warning was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Trend Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a trend warning.
- Ignore Trend Warning—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a trend warning, and that trend warning was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Lower Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a lower failure.
- Ignore Lower Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a lower failure, and that lower failure was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Upper Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as an upper failure.
- Ignore Upper Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as an upper failure, and that upper failure was subsequently ignored by the operator.
- Trend Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a trend failure.
- Ignore Trend Failure—Indicates that the result for the sample scheme analyte were assessed as a trend failure, and that trend failure was subsequently ignored by the operator.
