Configure price catalogues and price books

To search for price catalogues:

  1. Access the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPRCCAT—Search Price Catalogue screen.
  2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search to display price catalogues that match the criteria in the grid.

To export price catalogues to a report:

  1. Search for price catalogues.

  2. Select the check box in the first column of each price catalogue to be included in the report, or leave all price catalogues unselected to include all price catalogues in the report.
  3. Click Export to report on the grid to generate the grid report document.

    Note: Until a search is performed, the Export to Report option is not available, and if any search criteria are updated the Export to Report option is not available until a search is performed.

    During this process, the screen is greyed out and the Generating the Report notification widget appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. When the server finishes generating the report, the screen returns to normal and the notification widget is updated so the report can be downloaded.

To create a price catalogue:

  1. Access the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPRCCAT—Search Price Catalogue screen.
  2. Click New to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen.
  3. Check Organisation Scope, as required.
  4. Enter the Price Catalogue Code.
  5. Enter an optional Name and Description.
  6. Click Submit.

To review or update a price catalogue:

  1. Search for price catalogues.

  2. Open the required price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  3. Update the fields, as required.
  4. Click Submit.

To delete a price catalogue:

  1. Search for price catalogues.

  2. Open the required currency to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen.

  3. Click Delete to display the Confirm Delete dialog box.
  4. Click Confirm to delete the price catalogue. An error is raised if the price catalogue is linked from a price catalogue group, or contains a price book that is linked to a job invoice, in which case, it cannot be deleted.

To export price books to a report:

  1. Review or update a price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Select the check box in the first column of each price book to be included in the report, or leave all price books unselected to include all price books in the report.
  3. Click Export to report on the grid to generate the grid report document.

To resequence the price books in a price catalogue:

  1. Review or update a price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Drag-and-drop price books to move them up or down within the price catalogue.
  3. Click Submit.

To apply a percentage change to prices for price books in a price catalogue:

  1. Review or update a price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen.

  2. Select the price books to have a price change applied and click Change Prices to display the Percentage Change dialog box.
  3. Enter the Percentage change.
  4. Click OK to increase or decrease prices in all associated price schedules in the selected price books.

To create a price book within a price catalogue:

  1. Review or update the price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Click to add a price book to the Price Books grid.
  3. Check Is Active, as required.
  4. Select the Currency and Start Date, and optionally select an End Date.
  5. Enter an optional Name and Description.
  6. Click Submit.

To create a price book from an existing price book:

  1. Review or update the price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Open the required price book to display the CCPRCBK—Price Book Detail screen.
  3. Click Save As to display the Save As dialog box.
  4. Enter the Price Catalogue Code and Start Date, and optionally select an End Date for the new price book.
  5. Enter an optional Name and Description.
  6. Click OK to copy the price book and display the CCPRCBK—Price Book Detail screen.
  7. Update the price book, as required.
  8. Click Submit.

To review or update a price book:

  1. Review or update the price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Open the required price book to display the CCPRCBK—Price Book Detail screen. Note that the price schedule grid remains empty until price schedules are returned from the search.

  3. Make updates to the price book header details, as required.

    Note: Currency cannot be updated.

  4. To make changes to the pricing schedule, refer to Configuring Price Schedules in a Price Book or Quote for further configuration details.

To delete a price book:

  1. Review or update the price catalogue to display the CCPRCCAT—Price Catalogue Detail screen. Price books relating to the price catalogue display in the Price Books grid.

  2. Click at the beginning of the rows containing a price book to be deleted.
  3. Click Delete to display the Confirm Delete dialog box.
  4. Click Confirm.
