Maintaining Range Tables
Range tables allow you to define ranges that return either a fixed value or a scripted value. They are used to determine allowable duplicate differences for duplicate assessment and to calculate uncertainty factors.
Range Table Scope
Range tables are created either with org-scope or lab-scope. An organisation or laboratory can contain multiple range tables.
Use of Range Tables
Range tables are assigned to scheme version analytes to:
- Determine the allowable limits for repeatability and reproducibility, to be applied during precision assessment.
- Determine the uncertainty of a result based upon the range it falls within.
Range tables work by accepting an input value to return fixed value/s or a text value, based upon the magnitude of the input value.
Range Table Permissions
Range Tables and Range Table Items in CCLAS can be defined with either Laboratory scope or Organisation scope.
- Laboratory scope Range Tables apply only to a specific laboratory.
- Organisation scope Range Tables apply across the organisation and may be shared by multiple laboratories.
Access to these records is controlled through scope-based permissions, ensuring that users can only manage records within their authorised scope.
