Maintain Unit Conversions
Use this activity to maintain unit conversions.
Activity Steps
- Access the CCUNIT—Unit application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCUNIT—Search Unit screen.
- Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.
Units that match the criteria display in the grid.
- Open the required Unit to display the CCUNIT—Unit Detail screen.
To add a conversion unit:
- Click
Add.The Conversion Information dialog box displays.
The From Unit Code is the source unit.
- Select the To Unit Code.
- If a factor is used for the unit conversion, then:
- Uncheck Use Script.
- Enter the Conversion Factor.
- If a script is used for the unit conversion, then:
- Check Use Script.
- Select Script Code.
The script should be uploaded to CCLAS using the CCSCRT—Script application and given a Script Type of Unit Conversion.
Unit conversion via script only occurs for sample scheme analytes that have a Data Type of Numeric or Numeric Only and a valid Numeric Final Value prior to rounding, and the source unit is different to the destination unit.
If any of these conditions are not met, no unit conversion occurs and the numeric final value is passed on as it is to the rounding (by table, mask or script)
- Click Submit.
The unit conversion is added.
To remove a conversion unit:
- Click X at the beginning of the row to be removed.
- Click Submit.
The unit conversion is removed.
