Set the PRODUCTION_PROMOTION_OVERRIDE_LIST Preference

Use this activity to set the PRODUCTION_PROMOTION_OVERRIDE_LIST application preference to specify which job scheme, job scheme analyte, sample scheme or sample scheme analyte fields are preserved during the promotion of a production job. During the promotion process, the job scheme, job scheme analyte, sample scheme and sample scheme analyte fields are updated to use various settings from the highest published scheme version, except where those properties are preserved by being in this preference.

The Scope for this preference is usually set at laboratory level.

Activity Steps

1. Access the CCPREF—Preference application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPREF—Search Preference screen.

   Enter the Preference Name—PRODUCTION_PROMOTION_OVERRIDE_LIST

2. Click Submit.
3. Open the preference with the lowest level of scope to display the CCPREF—Preference Detail screen.
4. If Is System is checked, then:
   1. Uncheck Is System.
   2. Click Submit.
5. Ensure that Setting Type is set to STRING.

   Enter the Setting Value—Entered as a comma-separated list, for example: SSHoldingTime,SSAHoldingTime,SSAUnitCode

6. Set the Preference Type to PREFERENCE.
7. Ensure Is Active is checked.
8. Click Submit.
9. If Is System was initially checked, then:
   1. Check Is System.
   2. Click Submit.
