Add a custom attribute to a service and screen

  1. Access the application to be personalised.

  2. From the application to be personalised, click Personalisation access in the Application Toolbar and select Open Personalisation to display the Screen Personalisation tool on the right of the screen and the customisation on the left of the screen.

  3. In the Screen Layout panel, click the arrow beside definition to expand and display the form items and components.

  4. Continue to expand until the required item or component displays.

  5. Select the Service Attributes tab.

  6. Select the target Service to which the custom attribute is to be added.

  7. Click Add Attribute to display the Add Attribute dialog box.

  8. Enter the Attribute Name and Attribute Type.

  9. Select Multiple Values, where required.

  10. Click OK to display the new service attribute in the Attribute list under the Service Attributes tab. The Personalisation service attributes custom field icon displays next to the Attribute Name.

  11. Drag the required attribute into the appropriate position in the Screen Layout panel. A dotted line indicates the position where the attribute can be dropped. The mouse cursor displays a green plus icon for a valid location or a red cross icon for an invalid location.

  12. Rename the attribute (if required) by double-clicking on the attribute, changing the name, and pressing Enter.

  13. Click Preview to view the added attributes in the screen representation.

  14. Click Submit to save the personalised screen.
