Configuring Validation Report Templates
Job reports are based on jobs and samples. These types of reports encompass:
- Labels and paperwork, generated from the CCREGN—Job application.
- Internal reports, generated from the CCWKOP—Open Workbook application.
- Certificate reports (internal, preliminary or final), generated from the CCRPTR—Report Request application.
Certificate reports and internal reports generally contain job, sample and test details along with results, whilst labels and paperwork generally only contain job, sample and test details.
Job reports are created using the report template linked to each report contained within a report request.
A report template is created in an authoring tool and structured according to the report engine in use, after which it is uploaded to CCLAS using the CCTPLR—Report Template application.
The Crystal Reports and Chunk Text report engines are used to create reports in CCLAS.
A resource field definition (RFD) file is used to limit the fields included within the core result sets, so that the report result sets are kept as small as possible.
A direct source connection (DSC) file is used to create result sets for the report, including database fields, logo images and text notes.
The core reporting result sets contains views and DTOs associated with the jobs, samples, tests, products, QC types, etc, required for a report.
Additional result sets can be constructed by using a DSC, or by defining them in a report script linked to from the report template or in the REPORT_SCRIPT application preference.
The system may be customised to run report scripts at various stages during the report generation.
