View a debugger log

To write logs to the log aggregator:

  1. Access the application where the issue occurs.
  2. Select Settings » Debug Logger » Start Capture to display the Debug Logger popup which displays the User Trace ID and the User Trace URL, and begin the log process.
  3. Perform the steps that you wish to trace.
  4. Select Settings » Debug Logger » Stop Capture to display the Debug Logger again, and stop the log process.

To access logs in the log aggregator, either during or after capture:

  1. Click Copy User Trace URL on the Debug Logger popup.

  2. Copy the URL into your browser.

  3. Log into Elasticsearch.

    Note: You have to have a user account for the Elasticsearch.

  4. Your User Trace ID displays at the top, and logs for your session display below.

  5. To download a CSV file of your logs:

    1. Click Share » CSV Reports at the top-right of the screen and select Generate CSV.

      A Queued reports for the search popup displays at the bottom-right of the screen.

    2. Click Stack Management » Reporting to open the Elasticsearch Reports page where you can export the report to file.

      Note: You have to be a super user on your Elasticsearch repository to do this.

  6. Once saved, email the file to the Datamine Support Centre.
