ALLOW_RESULT_OVERWRITE

NUMERIC, 0=Read Only, 9=Full Access

Where a result is entered and submitted against a sample scheme analyte, when the sample scheme analyte is opened in a workbook session, and:

  • If set to 0 (default if missing, empty or inactive), then the workbook cell is locked, such that, it is not possible to unlock the cell and enter a subsequent result for the sample scheme analyte. Other actions may be undertaken on the cell, however, based upon security permissions, which may change the cell's workflow status, but ultimately, the result cannot be overwritten.
  • If set to 9 (default on deploy), then the workbook cell is not locked based upon the existence of a result. However, the cell may still be locked where a) the AUTO_LOCK_FORMULAS application preference is enabled and the cell contains a formula, b) the AUTO_LOCK_WORKFLOW_STATUS application preference is enabled and the cell contains one of the workflow statuses in the defined list, c) the expiry date of the sample scheme analyte is exceeded, d) the user is not a member of a user group with section access rights to the cell, or e) the job is not activated. Where the cell is not locked in any of these circumstances, then it is possible to enter a subsequent result for the sample scheme analyte.
