RPD_CALC_DL_TYPE
STRING, comprising a detection limit type
This preference directs which values is used in calculating relative percentage difference (RPD), in cases where it is required that sub detection limit values are represented by their detection limit values.
When the system is calculating RPD after precision assessment for a sample that has a Primary Analytical Type or Secondary Analytical Type of Duplicate or Replicate, and needs to determine which V1 and V2 values are to be used for the duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte and the original sample scheme analyte comparison, then:
- If the preference is empty (default), then the comparison values ignore detection limit settings:
V1= duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value and V2 = original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
- If set to INTERNAL DL, then:
If duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Internal Lower DL then:
V1= duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Internal Lower DL
If duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Internal Lower DL then:
V1 = duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
If original sample scheme analyte Numeric Final Value < original sample scheme analyte Internal Lower DL then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte Internal Lower DL
If original sample scheme analyte Numeric Final Value >= original sample scheme analyte Internal Lower DL then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte Numeric Final Value
- If set to REPORT DL, then:
If duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL then:
V1 = duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL
If duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL then:
V1 = duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < original sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= original sample scheme analyte's Report Lower DL then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
- If set to STAT DL and the pair of samples is a duplicate pair:
If duplicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit then:
V1 = scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit
If duplicate/replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit then:
V1 = duplicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit then:
V2 = scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= scheme version analyte's Dup Statistical Detection Limit then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
- If set to STAT DL and the pair of samples is a replicate pair:
If replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit then:
V1 = scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit
If replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit then:
V1 = replicate sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value < scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit then:
V2 = scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit
If original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value >= scheme version analyte's Rep Statistical Detection Limit then:
V2 = original sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value
Typically the preference is not set at role or user level.
