Screen flows
- Submit—Validate and save the changes.
- Refresh—Reload the original data. Any changes made since the last submit are lost.
- New—Create a new item related to the application.
- Save As—Create a new item based on the information provided by an existing item.
- Delete—Confirm and delete the current item.
- Open—Display a dialog box to enter an existing item to display its detail.
- New Search—Return to the Search screen and clear the search results and the search criteria.

Instrument Code
The unique code assigned to the instrument.

Name
The name of the instrument. Maximum 40 characters. Multi-language support.

Description
The description of the instrument. Maximum length of 400 characters. Multi-language support.

Instrument Category
A category assigned to the instrument. Selected from categories with a Category Type of INSTRUMENTS. If the Scope is Organisation only then the drop-down list only contains org-scope entities. If the Scope is Laboratory only then the drop-down list only contains lab-scope entities.

Is Active
Indicates whether the entity is available in drop-down lists. An inactive entity cannot be selected for use.

Online Status
Text denoting the online status of the instrument.

Is Online
Indicates whether the Instrument is currently online.

Active Status
Text denoting the active status of the instrument.

Service Status
Text denoting the service status of the instrument.

Calibration Status
Text denoting the calibration status of the instrument.

Asset Number
The asset number of the instrument.

Licence Number
The licence number of the instrument.

Location Code
The code of a location associated with the instrument. A location may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active locations in scope, as configured in the CCLCTN—Location application. Each location's hierarchy precedes its location code. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCLCTN—Search Location screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

Substitute Instrument Code
The code of the substitute instrument associated with the instrument. An instrument may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active instruments in scope, as configured in the CCINST—Instrument application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCINST—Search Instrument screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

Manufacturer
The manufacturer of the instrument.

Model
The model of the instrument.

Serial Number
The serial number of the instrument.

Purchase Date
The date on which the instrument was purchased.

Commissioned Date
The date on which the instrument was commissioned for use.

Document
Documents can be uploaded, downloaded and removed from this entity. The additional documents can be used for a variety of purposes, for example:
- Linking additional documentation to an entity, such as a client, contact or project.
- Reporting additional details about the entity.

Image
An image can be uploaded, downloaded or removed from the entity.

Notes associated with the instrument.

Notes
Notes regarding the instrument. Rich text formatting can be used to control the appearance of the information, with basic formatting ribbon and hyperlink entry field. For example, the name of an instrument can be entered in bold, the telephone number in italics, and hyperlinks can be used. The formatting is saved along with the actual content.
