• Submit—Validate and save the changes.
• Refresh—Reload the original data. Any changes made since the last submit are lost.

Header

• Is Active

  Indicates whether the entity is available in drop-down lists when selecting a category for an entity. An inactive entity cannot be selected for use. Display only.

• Job Code

  The code of the job containing the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Job Name

  The name of the job containing the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Client Name

  The code of the project on the job containing the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Client Project Name

  The code of the client on the job containing the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Client Contact Name

  The code of the contact on the job containing the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

  Sample Code

  The code of the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Sample Name

  The name of the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Primary Analytical Type

  The primary analytical type of the sample that denotes the type of QC assessment that the sample primarily undergoes after receiving a result. Display only.

  • Unknown

  • Duplicate

  • Replicate

  • Blank

  • Standard

  • Spike.

• Client Sample Name

  The client's name of the sample associated with the portion. Display only.

• Portion Code

  The code of the portion. This is typically a running sequence of three digits for the sequence of the portion associated with the sample, zero left-padded, for example: 001. Display only.

• Description

  The description of the portion. Display only.

• Portion Type

  Type of portion. Display only.

  • All—Portions originating either from the client or generated in-house, or those portions generated in the laboratory based upon scheme requirements.

  • As Registered—Portions either originating from the client or generated in-house

  • Laboratory—Potions generated in the laboratory based upon scheme requirements.

• Scheme Codes

  The codes of the schemes associated with the portion, set when portions of type Laboratory are created for sample schemes. Display only.

Details Tab

The primary details of the portion.

• Location Hierarchy

  The hierarchical location associated with the portion. Defaults to the location referenced in the SAM_TRACK_REG_LOCATION preference. A location may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active locations in scope, as configured in the CCLCTN—Location application. Each location's hierarchy precedes its location code. The list is filterable using % and _ wildcards. Refer to Using the Screen Interface. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCLCTN—Search Location screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

  Note: A portion's location cannot be cleared. If the intention is to assign the portion to a disposed or end-of-life status, use a location that represents that.

• Location Name

  The name of the location associated with the portion. Display only.

• Checked In On

  The date-time at which the portion was moved to the location. Display only.

• Checked In By

  The code of the user who moved the portion to the location. Display only.

• Single Capacity Container Type Code

  The code of the container type, with Capacity Type of Single, associated with the portion, that is, the type of container that holds one sample portion. Defaults to the single-capacity container type referenced in the SAM_TRACK_REG_SINGLE_CONTAINER_TYPE application preference. A container type may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active container types in scope with a Capacity Type of Single, as configured in the CCCNTP—Container Type application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCCNTP—Search Container Type screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

• Sample Handling Code

  The code of the sample handling associated with the portion. Defaults to the associated location's Location Default Sample Handling Code. A sample handling action may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active sample handling actions in scope, as configured in the CCSHND—Sample Handling application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCSHND—Search Sample Handling screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

• Sample Handling Name

  The name of the sample handling associated with the portion. Display only.

• Started On

  The date-time at which the sample handling for the portion was started. Display only.

• Started By

  The code of the user who started the sample handling for the portion. Display only.

  Note: Where an update to a sample portion via the user interface or update service does not result in the portion's Sample Handling Code being updated, then any changes to Started By are rejected.

• Due On

  The date-time at which the sample handling for a portion is due. Display only.

• Multi-capacity Container Type Code

  The code of the container type, with Capacity Type of Multiple, associated with the portion at containerisation.

• Multi-capacity Container Type Name

  The name of the container type, with Capacity Type of Multiple, associated with the portion at containerisation.

• Multi-capacity Container Name

  The name of the multi-capacity type container assigned to the portion at containerisation.

• Notes

  Notes associated with the portion.

Audit Tab

Audit records associated with the portion.

• Event Date

  The date-time at which the event was audited.

• User Code

  The code of the user who caused the event to be audited.

• Audit Event

  The specific audit event for the portion:

  • AR Portions Registered

  • Portion Modified

  • Containerization

  • As Registered Portion Added

  • As Registered Portion Removed

  • Portion Location Updated

  • Portion Multi Container Code Updated

  • Portion Multi Container Name Updated

  • Portion Sample Handling Updated

• Audit Type

  The type of audited event:

  The code of the currently linked entity, if applicable.

• To Name

  The name of the currently linked entity, if applicable.
