Screen flows

• Search—Perform a search using the entered search criteria and display the results in the grid.

• New Search—Return to the Search screen and clear the search results and the search criteria.

• Saved Searches—Display a saved searches menu where you can save a search, rename and delete existing searches. Refer to Using the Screen Interface for more information.

Scheme Summary Grid

• Job Name

  Search sample schemes by the name of an associated job. Both org-scope or lab-scope samples can be opened in the workbook, but not for the same session. Job Name is mandatory for a search.

  Since the screen is opened from the CCSAMP—Search Sample screen, the job defaults to those associated with the samples passed through from that application and the Scheme Summary Grid is populated with schemes from associated with those samples. Display-only.

• Archive Status

  Search sample schemes by the archive status of an associated job:

  • Online Only (default)—Return jobs that reside in the Live Production Environment only.

  • Online and Archived—Return jobs that reside in the Live Production Environment or Archive Repository.

  • Online, Archived & Obsolete—Return jobs that reside in the Live Production Environment, Archive Repository or Offline Storage.

  The most-archived state is determined from the selected sample. Display-only.

• Read-only Mode

  Indicates whether the worksheet is opened as read-only so that results cannot be changed. Display-only.

Scheme Summary Grid

The schemes and analytes available for opening in the workbook.

The visible job schemes are those where the scheme's Section Code is empty, or where the section's Access User Group Code is empty, or the user is a member of the user group denoted by the section's Access User Group Code.

Where Job Name contains a single job, when a search is performed, then schemes and analytes from the selected job display.

Where Job Name contains multiple jobs, when a search is performed, then a distinct list of schemes and analytes from the selected jobs display.

When a search is performed, the Data Mode is considered as Final results mode, Dilution mode, such that, analytes that have an Analyte Type of Analytical are displayed below the selected scheme.

Sub-analytes do not display in the grid, however, they are opened in the workbook if they exist for a selected analyte.

• Grid flows

  • Export to Report—Export to Report—Report selected records from the search display grid. Available report templates are defined by the SEARCH_REPORT_<ApplicationName> application preference.

  • Open—Display the selected entity in the CCQROP—Open Workbook application using normal display mode. Samples are displayed down the page in rows, and schemes and analytes are displayed across the page in columns. The quality results viewer is only opened in final results mode and contains only those selected samples passed to it from the CCSAMP—Search Sample screen.

• Scheme row—Scheme Code

  The code of the scheme.

• Scheme row—Scheme Name

  The name of the scheme.

• Scheme row—Scheme Version Name

  The name of the scheme version.

• Scheme row—Scheme Description

  The description of the scheme.

• Scheme row—Version Number

  The version number of the scheme.

• Scheme row—Scheme Version Description

  The description of the scheme version.

• Scheme row—Job Code

  The code of the job associated with the scheme.

• Scheme row—Job Name

  The name of the job associated with the scheme.

• Scheme row—Scheme Workflow Status

  The status of the job scheme indicating the stage it is at in its life-cycle. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Started

  • Started

  • Analysed

  • Released

  • Completed.

• Scheme row—Scheme Composite QC Status

  The composite QC status of the job scheme indicating the status of the underlying analytical results. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

  • Failure.

• Scheme row—Scheme Composite Spec Status

  the composite specification status of the job scheme indicating the status of the underlying analytical results against all sample specifications. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

  • Failure.

• Scheme row—Scheme Started Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme was started, when the job scheme's Workflow Status became Started.

• Scheme row—Scheme Analysed Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme was analysed or completed preparation, when job scheme's Workflow Status became Analysed.

• Scheme row—Scheme Validated Date

  No functional use in core CCLAS.

  Tip: Personalise the form to display the job scheme's Completed On instead, which is the date-time at which the job scheme was completed, when the job scheme's Workflow Status became Completed.

• Scheme row—User Code

  No functional use in core CCLAS.

  Tip: Personalise the form to display the job scheme's Completed By instead, which is the code of the user who completed the job scheme.

• Scheme row—Scheme Required Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme's results must be reported.

• Analyte row—Analyte Code

  The code of the analyte on the job scheme.

• Analyte row—Analyte Name

  The name of the analyte.

• Analyte row—Analyte Description

  The description of the analyte.

• Analyte row—Analyte Data Type

  The type of data expected for the analytical result for the analyte:

  • Numeric Only—A numeric value is expected; only numeric result values are stored.

  • Numeric—A numeric value is expected, however, depending on permissions, a string value can be entered; only a numeric result or string result is stored.

  • Text—A text string is expected; a string result is stored.

  • Boolean—0 or 1 is expected; a Boolean result is stored.

  • Date—A date string is expected (for example, 01/12/2014); a date result is stored.

  • Datetime—A date-time string is expected (for example, 01/12/2014 14:15:11); a date-time result is stored.

  • Image—An image upload is expected; the image result points to the EFS file containing the image.

  • Document—A document upload is expected; the document result points to the EFS file containing the document.

• Analyte row—Analyte Type

  The intended use of the analyte:

  • Preparation Weight—Holds the weight of a sample scheme, which is propagated into related sample scheme analytes in the scheme and in linked schemes, and used for raw-to-final calculations.

  • Preparation Volume—Holds the volume of a sample scheme, which is propagated into to related sample scheme analytes in the scheme and in linked schemes, and used for raw-to-final calculations.

  • Preparation Other—Holds parameter information/results for a scheme that has a Scheme Type of Analytical Preparation or Analytical. These types of analytes are typically not reported nor impact on QC and workflow statuses.

  • Analytical—Holds an analytical result for a scheme that has a Scheme Type of Analytical Preparation or Analytical.

  Note: For a scheme that has a Scheme Type of Analytical Preparation or Preparation, only one analyte where the Analyte Type is Preparation Weight can be defined for the scheme, and only one analyte where the Analyte Type is Preparation Volume can be defined for the scheme.

• Analyte row—Is Reportable

  The default setting for a sample scheme analyte's Reportable check box which ultimately sets the reportability of the analyte in certificate report requests.

• Analyte row—Analyte Workflow Status

  The status of the job scheme analyte indicating the stage it is at in its life-cycle. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Started

  • Started

  • Analysed

  • Released

  • Completed.

• Analyte row—Analyte Composite QC Status

  The composite QC status of the job scheme analyte indicating the status of the underlying analytical results. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

  • Failure.

• Analyte row—Analyte Composite Spec Status

• Composite specification status of the job scheme analyte indicating the status of the underlying analytical results against all sample specifications. Display only. This can be:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

• Analyte row—Analyte Analysed Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme analyte was analysed, when the job scheme analyte's Workflow Status became Analysed.

• Analyte row—Analyte Started Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme analyte was started, when the jobs scheme analyte's Workflow Status first became Analysed.

• Analyte row—Analyte Released Date

  The date-time at which the job scheme analyte was released, when the job scheme analyte's Workflow Status became Released.

• Analyte row—Analyte Validated Date

  No functional use in core CCLAS.

  Tip: Personalise the form to display the job scheme analyte's Completed On instead, which is the date-time at which the job scheme analyte was completed, when the job scheme analyte's Workflow Status became Completed.

• Analyte row—Analyte Required Date

  the date-time at which the job scheme analyte's results must be reported.

• Analyte row—MSDS Name

  The material safety data sheet name or description of the analyte, to allow it to be cross-referenced to external safety details.

• Analyte row—Analyte Holding Time

  The holding time for the sample scheme analyte, which is the earliest date-time of the sample scheme's holding time and the sample scheme analyte's holding time for all samples associated with the job scheme analyte.

• Analyte row—Import Name

  The name of the analyte on import from an instrument, used if the instrument cannot uniquely identify the analyte by its code.

• Analyte row—Is QC Active

  Indicates whether the analyte is assessed for QC. When a result is entered for the sample scheme analyte and the result is passed through QC assessment, then where the check box is:

  • Checked—The type of QC assessment depends upon the sample's Primary Analytical Type and Secondary Analytical Type. The outcome of the QC assessment sets the sample scheme analyte's Scheme Limit Status, Standard Status, Precision Status, Specification Status (of the primary specification on the sample), which then roll up into the sample scheme analyte's Composite QC Status.

    A Composite QC Status containing a failure prohibits validation of a sample scheme analyte, that is, the most its Workflow Status can be set to is Released.

  • Unchecked—When the sample scheme analyte gets a result, then all of the QC statuses obtain a status of Not Required.

• Analyte row—Analyte Possible Date

  Although this should be the possible date-time at which the sample's results can be reported, based on the longest duration of sample analysis, currently this is the same as Required On. An update to Possible On is persisted where the date-time provided is valid, and later than the Received On date-time where one is defined, otherwise an error message displays upon submit.

• Analyte row—Upper Analyte Code

  Where a Workflow Status of Check arises during a workbook session due to a sample scheme analyte's result being above the Internal Upper DL and the Internal Upper DL Critical check box being checked, and you have selected a flow to run the activateUpperCheck WorkbookSession method (which may be attached to a right-click menu option), then the Upper Scheme Code and this Upper Analyte Code is passed to the method which uses it to locate the 'upper' sample scheme analyte. Where the AUTO_ACTIVATE_UPPER_SCHEME application preference is checked, then the activateUpperCheck WorkbookSession method is called automatically.

• Analyte row—Upper Scheme Code

  Where a Workflow Status of Check arises during a workbook session due to a sample scheme analyte's result being above the Internal Upper DL and the Internal Upper DL Critical check box being checked, and you have selected a flow to run the activateUpperCheck WorkbookSession method (which may be attached to a right-click menu option), then this Upper Scheme Code and the Upper Analyte Code is passed to the method which uses it to locate the 'upper' sample scheme analyte. Where the AUTO_ACTIVATE_UPPER_SCHEME application preference is checked, then the activateUpperCheck WorkbookSession method is called automatically.

• Analyte row—Analyte Warning Time

  The default warning time for sample scheme analytes registered with this scheme version analyte. Warning time refers to the time that a sample may be held before a warning can be given that it needs to be prepared or analysed (for example, before the sample deteriorates). Analyte warning is used to place a tighter warning time on the analyte that it is on the scheme. Certain properties of the sample may deteriorate and effect the analysis of the analyte, but other analytes in the scheme are not effected by it.

  Warning Time should be less than or equal or Holding Time. If Warning Time is not specified, then the scheme's Warning Time is applied to determine sample expiry for the test.

  For a sample scheme with no precursor scheme, warning time is counted from the earliest of the sample's Received On or Sampled On date-time.

  For a sample scheme with a precursor scheme, warning time is counted from the Completed Date (date-time) of the precursor scheme.
