Enter general details for a job

  1. Open a registered job to display the PROFILE—JobEdit Form.
  2. Select the General tab.
  3. Enter the Client order no.
  4. Select a Client contact code. For contact lookup, enter a search string in the field that matches one or more contact codes, using the percent sign (%) as a wildcard, and click the F2 function key to open the contact lookup form to display matching contact codes from the job's client, and double-click the required contact code.
  5. Update the Registered date-time and Registered by where they differ from the default.
  6. Update the Received and Required date-times, and where permitted to do so, update the Priority where it differs from the default. Note that the PriorityUnit GLOBAL setting defines the priority units. The Required date-time defaults to the Received date-time plus the amount of time denoted by the client's Priority, and if the IncludeWeekends GLOBAL setting is enabled, then weekends are added to the calculation.
  7. Select a Product code, where required. When a result is received for a CUID scheme analyte and product limits exist for a matching analysis unit, then the analytical limits are applied to determine whether the result passes or fails product limits. and any product rules associated with the scheme are run.
  8. Enter Notes for the job, and/or click ... to locate and upload a Notes file for the job. Notes files are typically located in the folder defined by the NotesFileDirectory GLOBAL setting.
  9. Enter any Miscellaneous details for the job.
  10. Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.
