Maintaining Container Types

Overview

Container types, for example, bags, bins, boxes, crates, or cartons, are preconfigured so that when samples for a job arrive in the laboratory, or when the samples of a job are containerised at the end of analysis and placed in store, the samples are linked to a specific type of container. Container types can have a cost per day for storage defined.

This process is pertinent to laboratory managers and sample store personnel who configure the sample storage environment for the laboratory.

Process

Container types are maintained by the Sample Track application.

Container types are maintained using simple SCRUD (search, create, review, update, delete) functionality.
