Sample Tracking
Sample tracking allows laboratory managers and supervisors know where samples are stored, and the conditions of their storage and eventual disposal or return to client.
When a sample arrives at the laboratory, some or all of the sample is prepared to make it ready for analysis, then the prepared sample and any residue portion is stored until the laboratory is ready for it.
After analysis, any remaining sample is returned from the laboratory to the store. Typically all sample portions belonging to one job are containerised into a bulk container.
During these stages, the storage location, condition of storage, and eventual disposal or return to the client is managed.
