Consumables

Within the laboratory there are many different materials that are used to conduct analyses. These materials, which are known as consumables, are consumed by laboratory processes so, from time to time, need replenishment from a supplier.

When consumable usage is recorded, consumable quantities are lessened by the amount the scheme uses.

When consumable supply is recorded, consumable quantities are increased by the recorded supply.

Typically, reports are generated when the amount of a consumable in stock falls below required amounts for smooth operation of the laboratory.
