Overview

Consumables are those materials that are used in the analytical processes of a laboratory. Consumables are configured by type, so before consumables are configured, consumable types are configured.

This process is pertinent to laboratory managers and laboratory supervisors who record consumable usage and supply to ensure sufficient materials for ongoing analytical processes.

Process

Consumable types are maintained by the Consumables application. You need specific rights to have visibility to this application.

Consumable types are maintained using simple SCRUD (search, create, review, update, delete) functionality under the Consumables » Type node. You need specific rights to have visibility to this node.
