Locate instrument run file samples by instrument

  1. Click Batch in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Batch.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Batch Form.
  2. Click Instrument to open the BATCH—CriteriaInstrument Form.
  3. Select the analyte Instrument. The distinct list of schemes and versions from CUID scheme analytes linked to this instrument display in the Scheme grid. (A CUID scheme analyte is linked to an instrument when it is created from a scheme is linked to an instrument. If the scheme is linked to the instrument after CUID scheme analyte creation, the CUID scheme analyte will not be linked to the instrument.)
  4. To apply batching criteria based on schemes and versions, click a scheme and version in the Scheme grid to select it, and use the Control and Shift keys to select more contiguous or non-contiguous schemes and versions. Re-click a scheme and version to deselect it.
  5. To apply batching criteria based on selected sample types in the Sample type section, from the list of possible sample types, click a sample type to selected, and use the Control and Shift keys to select more contiguous or non-contiguous sample types. Re-click a sample type to deselect it. Where no sample types are selected, then the batching criteria includes all sample types.
  6. To apply batching criteria based on specific dates:
    1. Check the Dates check box.
    2. Specify the date period as On, Before or After a particular date, or Between two particular dates.
  7. To apply batching criteria based on a sample scheme analyte's analyte status, in the Analyte status section, either:
    1. Select All to not limit the sample selection based on a CUID scheme analyte's Analyte Status, or
    2. Select Selected and check the Not analysed check box to limit the sample selection where a CUID scheme analyte's Analysis Status is NULL or empty (not analysed), and/or check the Analysed check box to limit the sample selection where a CUID scheme analyte's Analyte Status is CPL (completed).
    3. Select Awaiting checks to limit the sample selection where a CUID scheme analyte's Analyte Status is CHK (Check).
  8. To apply batching criteria based on a sample scheme analyte's laboratory batch status, in the Lab Batch Status section, either:
    1. Select All to not limit the sample selection based on a CUID scheme analyte's laboratory batch status, or
    2. Select Selected and check the Not lab batched check box to limit the sample selection based on whether a CUID scheme analyte's Lab Batch Job and Lab Batch CUID are empty, or check the Lab Batched check box to limit the sample selection based on whether a CUID scheme analyte's Lab Batch Job and Lab Batch CUID contains a laboratory batch job number and laboratory batch CUID.
  9. To apply batching criteria based on minimum number of samples, in the Number of Samples section, set Min to a number greater than 0 to return CUIDs for batching only where the number of samples matching the other criteria is greater or equal to this number of samples.
  10. To apply batching criteria based on maximum number of samples, in the Number of Samples section, set Max to a number greater than 0 to return CUIDS matching the other criteria, up to an including this maximum number of samples.
  11. To overwrite the criteria entered in the form and load criteria from a file, click Open to open the common dialog, locate the CRI file and click Open, or click Cancel to not proceed.

  12. Where criteria is loaded from a file, to save updates to the criteria to the same file, click Save to open the common dialog, navigate to a folder, enter a file name and click Save, or click Cancel to not proceed.
  13. To save criteria entered in the form to a new criteria file, click Save As to open the common dialog, navigate to a folder, enter a file name and click Save, or click Cancel to not proceed.
  14. To close the BATCH—CriteriaInstrument Form and not apply a sample search, click Close.
  15. To close the BATCH—CriteriaInstrument Form and apply the criteria to perform a sample search based on the instrument and other criteria, click Apply. Existing samples are cleared from the sample list, and samples matching the instrument criteria are located and displayed on the BATCH—Batch Form.
