Configuring the Batch Application

Overview

Laboratory processes often require samples to have a delay prior to analysis, for example, for the sample to dry out or cure, or for a live sample to grow. Samples are set to a waiting or ready state accordingly, so that they can be filtered out in a batch sample search.

Process

Samples are set to a batching waiting or batching ready state using the Batch application.

Before a batch sample search, samples are set to a batching waiting or batching ready state, typically based upon their preparation state.

Samples in all or selected schemes of a job are given a waiting status until they have completed their assigned preparation, so that are not returned in any batching sample search.

Samples in all or selected schemes of a job are given a ready status when they are ready for batching.
