Maintain procedures

To search for procedures:

  1. Click Method in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Scheme.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Scheme Form.
  2. Select the Methods » Procedures node.
  3. Where a query form is presented in the bottom of the right-hand grid, then enter criteria and click the Query button to filter the content returned to the grid.
  4. Where the Properties main menu option is enabled, to further filter the grid content based on column criteria, select the Properties main menu option and filter data using column criteria. Refer to Using the Screen Interface.

To create a procedure:

  1. Click New to display the AddNew form.
  2. Enter the New code.
  3. Click OK to create the procedure and open the ProcRegEdit Form to update the procedure details, as required, or click Cancel to not proceed.

To review a procedure:

  1. Double-click a Procedure to open the ProcRegEdit Form. A warning is provided where any scheme or analyte in the procedure has been removed from the SCHEME or SCHEME_ANALYTE table, respectively.

To copy a procedure:

  1. Click Save as to open the Save as form.
  2. Enter the To code.
  3. Click OK to create the procedure from the source procedure, open the ProcRegEdit Form to update the procedure details, as required, or click Cancel to not proceed.
  4. Where the LIMS is configured to give a warning that a version of a scheme in the source procedure is earlier that the scheme's latest version, if this occurs, then select the option to either use the latest version of the scheme in the destination procedure, copy the earlier version used in the source procedure to the destination procedure, or cancel the copy.

To update a procedure:

  1. Double-click a Procedure to open the ProcRegEdit Form to update the entity, as required.
  2. Enter the Description.
  3. Select a Client group code or Client code, if required. For client lookup, enter a search string in the field that matches one or more client codes, using the percent sign (%) as a wildcard, and click the F2 function key to open the client lookup form to display matching client codes from all laboratories, including clients that are disabled.
  4. Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.

To enter custom details for a procedure:

  1. Where the LIMS is configured to allow for the entry of custom details for the procedure, click User Screen in the main menu to open the custom form to update the custom details, as required.

To delete a procedure:

  1. Click Delete.
