Maintain schemes
To search for schemes:
- Click Method in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Scheme.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Scheme Form.
- Select the Methods » Scheme codes node.
- Where a query form is presented in the bottom of the right-hand grid, then enter criteria and click the Query button to filter the content returned to the grid.
- Where the Properties main menu option is enabled, to further filter the grid content based on column criteria, select the Properties main menu option and filter data using column criteria. Refer to Using the Screen Interface.
To create a scheme:
- Click New to display the SchemeAddNew form.
- Enter the Scheme code. Scheme codes should only alpha-numeric characters (0-9, A-Z) or underscores (_). This is important if formulas are used to determine analyte values. Scheme codes cannot start with a number (0-9). This is due to a restriction on named range definitions in the Data Entry spreadsheet.
- Select the Scheme type and Pricing structure
- Click OK to create the scheme and open the SchemeEdit form to update the scheme details, as required, or click Cancel to not proceed.
To review a scheme:
- Double-click a Scheme Code to open the SchemeEdit form.
To update a scheme:
- Double-click a Scheme Code to open the SchemeEdit form to update the entity, as required.
- Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.
To enter general details for a scheme:
- Select the General tab.
- Enter the Short name, Scheme name and Description.
- Enter Accreditation details.
- Click ... to locate and upload a Notes file for the scheme.
To enter formatting details for a HDR (Header) scheme:
- Select the General tab.
- Enter a Formatting mask.
To enter laboratory details for a scheme:
- Select the General tab.
- Select a Section code, if required.
- Select the Executing Lab code.
- Check the Auto refer and Is performed check boxes where these fields are used in a subcontract batching script.
To enter invoicing details for a scheme:
- Select the General tab.
- Select a Tax code.
- Where the scheme's Price type is HLY, SCH or SMP, select a Price code.
To enter method details for a scheme:
- Select the General tab.
- Select a Method code and Method date, and enter the Method days.
To enter analysis details for a PRP (Preparation) scheme:
- Select the Analysis tab.
- Enter the Page size.
To enter analysis details for an ANA (Analytical) scheme:
- Select the Analysis tab.
- Select an Instrument code.
- Enter the Page size.
- Enter the Expected weight, Expected volume and Weight tolerance.
- Enter the Time taken.
- Use the >, >>,<< and < buttons to assign Available laboratories to the Assigned laboratories.
To enter duplicate details for a PRP (Preparation) scheme:
- Select the Analysis tab.
- Enter the Number, Blocksize, Offset and Position.
To enter quality control details for an ANA (Analytical) scheme:
- Select the Quality control tab.
- Blank placement:
- Enter the Number blanks.
- Click ... to open the QCFile form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add blank sample types for the required Number blanks. Refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types. The same blank material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of blank placements.
- Enter the Blank blocksize, select the Blank calculation, and enter the Blank position(s).
- QC standard placement:
- Enter the Number qc standards.
- Click ... to open the QCFile form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add QC standard sample types for the required Number qc standards. Refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types. The same QC standard material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of QC standard placements.
- Enter the QC standard blocksize, select the QC standard calculation, and enter the QC standard position(s).
- Enter the QC standard weight and QC standard volume.
- QC spike placement:
- Enter the Number qc spikes.
- Click ... to open the QCFile form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add QC spike sample types for the required Number qc spikes. Refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types. The same QC spike material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of QC spike placements.
- Enter the QC spike blocksize, select the QC spike calculation and QC spike selection, and enter the QC spike position(s).
- Replicate placement:
- Enter the Number replicates. Click ... to visually select the positions of the replicate samples within the sample group.
- Enter the Replicate blocksize, select the Replicate calculation and Replicate selection, and enter the Replicate position(s). Example: To create a replicate of each sample and place each replicate sample immediately after its original unknown sample, set Number replicates to 1, Replicate blocksize to 1, and Replicate position(s) to either IMM or END, as this is equivalent in this scenario.
- Enter the Number rereads.
To enter custom details for a scheme:
- Where the LIMS is configured to allow for the entry of custom details for the scheme, click User Screen in the main menu to open the custom form to update the custom details, as required.
To delete a scheme:
- Click
Delete.
