Overview

Units are used to quantify analytical results and other measurements taken by CCLAS EL.

CCLAS EL installs a default set of units that incorporate the most commonly used laboratory units.

This process is pertinent to LIMS configuration personnel and laboratory managers who configure CCLAS EL for use in the organisation or laboratory.

Process

Units are maintained using the Setup application. You need specific rights to have visibility to this application.

Units are maintained using simple SCRUD (search, create, review, update, delete) functionality under the Setup » Unit codes node. You need specific rights to have visibility to this node.

Access a custom form from the Unit codes node

There are instances where a sample might be analysed in one unit (for example, PPM), but reported in another (for example, %). This requires the designation of a unit as the main unit, with conversion factors defined to enable CCLAS to convert values from the main unit to another unit of the same type.
