Appendix—Program Settings

CCLAS EL provides the ability to configure many aspects of its behaviour using various settings to suit your business practices.

Global settings under the CCLASMGR staff account apply across all CCLAS EL applications, and to all users of CCLAS EL.

Program settings apply to the specific CCLAS EL applications, and to all users of CCLAS EL unless the individual user has those settings overridden in the program settings under their staff account.

All program settings are configured using the Staff application.

Note: Changes to global settings do not have an impact until user next logs into CCLAS EL. Changes to program settings are available when the specific application is next started.

Licence	LICENCE	Program settings that control the workstation licensing environment. Workstations can be added or deleted from this table.
CCLAS	CCLAS	CCLAS Main menu application. Normally all users are able to run this application (that is, level 1 or 2 access), but not all users should be able to adjust their own menu (access 3).
Staff	STAFFAPP	Program settings that control the Staff program environment.
	STAFF	Staff code access and settings, including whether the staff settings against individual users can be adjusted.
	GROUPING	Staff group settings, including whether the staff groups can be adjusted.
Setup	CONFIG	Program settings that control the Setup program environment.
	LAB	Settings for laboratories.
	LOB	Settings for LOBs (lines of business).
	GROUPLAB	Settings for laboratory groups.
	SECTION	Settings for laboratory sections.
	GROUPSECTION	Settings for laboratory section groups.

	UNIQUENO	Settings for unique counter numbers (that is, auto job, sample, reports, etc.)

Global Laboratory-wide Settings	GLOBALSETTINGS	This section stores all the default laboratory-wide (LabCode) general CCLAS settings that are not program specific or across multiple programs. This section is only available under the CCLASMGR staff code. (Each LabCode has its own CCLASMGR master settings.) These settings apply to all users.
	USERGLOBALSETTINGS	This section stores all the default laboratory-wide (LabCode) general (non-Standard or Customised) settings that are not program specific or across multiple programs. These settings are available to all users. ONLY USED AS PART OF CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS – NOT USED IN STANDARD CCLAS.
	USERSETTINGS	This section stores all the default user settings for non-standard or customised settings that are not program specific or across multiple programs. These settings can be user specific. ONLY USED AS PART OF CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS – NOT USED IN STANDARD CCLAS.
