Make a Pattern Active

For descriptions of pattern types, see Patterns.

You need to make a pattern active in the Viewport for some activities; for example, when exporting hole data to a drill navigation system or when generating and printing a drill sheet.

If you only display one pattern, it is active by default. Only one pattern can be active at a time.

The type of pattern that can be active depends on the module:

• Design—Drill pattern or reporting pattern
• Drill—Drill pattern or reporting pattern
• Measure—Drill pattern, reporting pattern or user-defined group
• Charge—Charge pattern or blast pattern
• Initiation—Initiation pattern

In the Fragmentation utility, only a fragmentation model can be the active item.

Activity Steps

1. Select the required module or utility.
2. Right-click the pattern or item in the DataBlast Items Tree and select Set as Active Item from the menu.

   The pattern is selected in the DataBlast Items Tree and displays with a bright colour in the Viewport. You can modify these colours if required. See Configure Colours.

   Other displayed patterns have a less bright colour.
