Blast Costs

Use the Blast Costs module to define the unit costs used to calculate drill and blast costs, and to generate blast costing reports for selected patterns.

Blast costs can be defined as:

  • General blast cost items that can be applied to patterns, holes, hole details (such as dips) and charge decks.
  • Product-linked costs (for example, explosives and accessories) where prices are effective-dated so you can run reports using historical pricing.

Blast costs can be calculated from:

  • Design data (for example, planned drill metres, planned decks).
  • As-built data (for example, actual drilled depth and actual loaded decks returned from operational systems).

Costing data is preserved by effective date so that you can generate reports based on older prices when required.

Workflow overview

  1. Maintain general cost definitions and product prices in Blast Cost Items Maintenance.
  2. Select one or more patterns and run the Blast Costing Report from the Reports Ribbon Menu.
