Customise the Detailed Viewport Cursor

The standard cursor has a selection rectangle in the middle of a crosshair.

The detailed cursor can include the standard cursor's functionality, or can be enhanced with measured circles and tick marks to help you estimate the distance between objects displayed in the Viewport.

Use the Show/Hide Detailed Cursor option on the Grid and Snap Toolbar to toggle between the cursor types.
