Mine Blocks
Mine blocks are 3D objects representing scheduled volumes of rock to be drilled and blasted. Mine blocks are imported from mine design software as shapes, points and lines. DataBlast Ignite triangulates, renders the surfaces and calculates the volumes. Mine blocks are the basis of scheduling. Drill and charge designs are applied to mine blocks to calculate the quantities of resources (drill lengths, explosives, and so on) required to drill and blast the mine block.
Each hole in a drill pattern must be associated with a mine block. You can report on resource quantities by exporting data by mine block.
A new mine site database includes a default mine block, to which all holes are assigned if no other mine blocks are created.
Mine blocks can also be used to describe the pit areas for drill patterns.
