Enter Stocktake Data

In a stocktake, you update the inventory level of one or more products at a stock point. To facilitate data collection on site, you can Generate and Print a Stocktake Sheet.

Activity Steps

  1. On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Inventory.

    The Inventory screen displays.

  2. Select a stock point node in the DataBlast Items Tree of the Inventory screen.

The products at the stock point display in the top table.

Note: You can only enter stocktake data for one stock point at a time.

  3. Click Stocktake Entry.

    The Stocktake screen displays.

  4. Select the Date/Time. This field is read-only after data is entered for any product.
  5. Select the operator that the stocktake is Authorised By from the defined operators who have the Shotfirer or Magazine Keeper competency. See Maintain Operators. Read-only after data is entered for any product.
  6. Update the Stock Count for each product as required.

Note: If you leave the Stock Count blank for a product, no stocktake record is created for the product.

    DataBlast Ignite updates the Adjustment.

  7. If there is an Adjustment for a product, enter a Comment.
  8. Click Accept.

Tip: If Accept is not enabled, click outside the last entered comment.

If the inventory level does not match the previously recorded Quantity on Hand for each product, DataBlast Ignite creates a Stocktake record for the product. Stocktake records are highlighted in red. Stocktake records can be edited. See Record Stock Movement.
