Product Maintenance

You can add and edit various product types:

• Bulk explosives
• Packaged explosives
• Cast boosters
• Electronic detonators
• Non-electric detonators
• Detonating cord
• Lead-in line
• Other—Select from Ammonium Nitrite, Chemical, Emulsion Precursor, Fuel Oil, Inert Accessory, Other and Stemming.

If a product should no longer be available in the rest of the DataBlast Ignite application, you can set the product to be inactive. You cannot actually delete a product from the mine site database because it may have already been used.

You can also maintain lists of suppliers and electronic detonator systems.

Note: Set up suppliers and electronic detonator systems before setting up products.

To facilitate data transfer between mine site databases, you can export and import the configuration of selected products. If you import product configuration from a export with a different measurement type, DataBlast Ignite converts the specifications. For example, if you export products from a metric mine site and import the products into an imperial mine site, the imported specifications are in imperial units of measure.
