Maintain Drill Bit Sizes (Diameters)

Access drill bit size maintenance:

  1. On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.

    The Site Maintenance screen displays.

  2. Select the Resources » Diameters node.

    The Bit Size Maintenance Ribbon Menu displays.

    Note: Predefined drill bit sizes cannot be edited or deleted.

To add a custom drill bit size:

  1. Click New Bit Size.
  2. Complete the following fields:
    • Display Text
    • Diameter
    • Measurement Type—Select from Metric and Imperial. Default: Metric.
    • Match Tolerance

    Note: The Name with UOM is the Display Text and either mm (millimetres) or in (inches), depending on the Measurement Type. Custom is a read-only field.

  3. Click Save Changes.

    The Diameter, Measurement Type and Match Tolerance become read-only.

    The drill bit size is selected as an allowed diameter. See Configure Mine Site Settings.

To delete a custom drill bit size that is not an allowed diameter:

  1. Ensure that the drill bit size is not an allowed diameter in the mine site settings.
  2. Click the arrow row selector for the custom drill bit size.
  3. Press Delete (on your keyboard).

    A confirmation message displays.

  4. Click Yes.
  5. Click Save Changes.
